WHO WE ARE IN BRIEF:

PASS is a not-for-profit, women-led humanitarian, development, and advocacy organization that makes a lasting difference in the lives of people living in crisis, post crisis as a result of violence and /or climate change-induced, and /or poverty by helping them to overcome challenges induced by conflict, post-conflict, and disaster. We are led Women Led Organization (WLO). We help them to access basic services as part of life-saving, life-preserving, early recovery, transition, and development programs to survive, recover, and gain control of their future.  We give special attention to specific groups of vulnerable individuals due to their belonging to specific social attributes: e.g., IDPs, Returnees, Refugees, Women, Children, Elderly, Persons living with Disabilities, Youth.

WOMEN LED ORGANIZATION (WLO)

PASS is a South Sudanese Women-Led Organization (WLO):  an organization that is governed and directed by women (Board of Directors and whose Executive Director is a female), and whose leadership is predominantly female, with women holding 59% of the senior leadership positions within PASS. We position our NNGO as WLO as it is clearly defined by our leadership, governance and women and girls-focused operations, while emphasising female leadership at both the board and staff levels, and engaging women and girls actively throughout the programs’ implementation to attain women’s empowerment.

OUR SPECIALIZATIONS

An advanced human rights approach for climate justice, gender justice, social justice, eradication of poverty and solutions for sustainable development through partnerships with communities, partners, Government, other Non-Governmental Organizations and other like-minded organizations.  We empower people to survive crises, build better lives, and transform their communities for good. PASS Women-led NGO implements programmes across South Sudan that address immediate humanitarian needs of vulnerable communities while building longer-term resilience and adaptation through recovery interventions.

OUR IMPLEMENTATION APPROACH

Our implementation approach is multi-sectoral and community-based, involving close collaboration, participation, consultations, engagement and co-creation with communities, community-based informal self-help and self-governance structures through communities’ committees, groups, clubs, networks, community-based faith leaders, etc as well as CBOs and CFOs and various sub-national and grassroots authorities and ministries.

COUNTRY: South Sudan

PASS: National, non-governmental, non-political, non-partisan, non-religious, humanitarian, a relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, promote development and resilience. The NNGO comprises 59% South Sudanese women in leadership positions within the organization and on the Board of Directors.

Registered by: Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, South Sudan, under the registration number 667 on 17^th February, 2017 (renewed annually).

Field Offices in 2026: Eastern Equatoria, Western Equatoria, Central Equatoria, Abyei Administrative Area, Lakes, Jonglei, Upper Nile, Unity, Northern and Western El Bhargazal states, with coordination in Juba. We have a total of 40 staff across 7 offices. We are implementing three projects in 2026.

• UNICEF, and
• UN FAO
